The Excite 10 tablet from Toshiba runs on one of the latest mobile Android Operating Systems, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. being the second 10-inch Category tablet release after Toshiba’s Excite 10 LE. The Excite 10 is neither lighter nor heavier than the Excite 10 LE, but has a better build quality feel as compared to the Excite LE due to a lack of exposed edges. Also, the Excite 10 has a Tegra 3 processor with large expandable storage options to try and outdo the Excite 10 LE.
Exact Specifications include a Tegra 3 processor from Nvidia and expandable storage capability of 128GB are all significant upgrades over the Excite 10 LE. The body of the Toshiba Excite 10 is a little heavier in weight and device thickness compared to the Excite 10 LE, and gives a sleek look to the tablet. The Excite 10 is not that durable though, and can be bent a little if force is applied on the tablet’s body. It is, however, not a real design flaw as much as a small nitpick.
Overall, the Toshiba Excite 10 is a good tablet with many performance and storage upgrade potentials and thus should be quite well-liked by general consumers, but may put off some due to a rather steep price at time of launch.
